The Design Process begins!!

Vintage Myth -  If it smells musty now, it’ll reek forever.

As the days go on and Foundation Art continues I feel a sense of moving forward with my work and learning a lot about how I work. I was told to put everything that was in my mind down on paper and I feel that this blog is about questioning my thoughts and also the ideas of Vintage and what lies behind its glare. Her wicked sights are set and I am here to unfold by opening up the truths and lies that lie within the love people call Vintage.
As the days bimble on and the Arty Adventures continue, The mind of Andy starts to wander as he makes hard work into making a machete. I found these hard to make as you have to visualise it and then at the same time collapse it and creating a net to then reassemble making sure that tabs are placed in the correct places. I feel my machete represents my sketches and the idea of Form over function! I found this process difficult but worth while and my process is displayed. Today I worked with clay as a work of forming machetes and found this process to be hard as the clay dried quickly and continually needed wetting to keep it workable. I ended up with more on my hands than for the construction process. Also I'm not a fan of when it dries onto your hands and creates a dusty feel, this happens when it dries.
Overall I am happy with how my work and the progression! I have so many ideas running through my head that I find it hard to get them all down on paper!!

Personal life...
Big news!! My Soul Sister left for University today and I became so proud that now she has finally made the big move! I am emotionally drained but I will be fine!! My brother leaves on Saturday!!
